- We have a limited range of Hyde hand tools at all of our stores. Why not try our value range Finish Pro tools.ˆ
- What is 4T?
- 4T is a lightweight multi purpose compound made in the USA. Multi, meaning it is excellent for taping, second coat, finishing coat, fastener covering and externals. Being a lightweight compound makes it easy to sand with low shrinkage. 4T is a great product for using with automatic tools.ˆ
- Where is Hamilton's made?
- Hamilton's products are made in Woodland, Washington USA. Hamilton have 80% of market share in USA & distribute products worldwide.ˆ
- What is your warranty on compounds?
- Pro Plaster Products guarantee it's products to be free of defects in materials and manufacture. If a Pro Plaster product does not meet our standard we will at our option, replace or repair it or supply an equivalent product. We will pay for doing one of these.ˆ
- What is the advantage of buying refill boxes of compound?
- The boxes work out to be an average of 5 cents a litre cheaper than the bucket. It also comes in convenient cardboard boxes making it easier for disposal.ˆ
- Do you have a "Level 5" finish compound?
- Pro Plaster Products stock Hamilton's Prep Coat Plus which is a Level 5 compound. It is a great product to reduce glancing light issues, feature walls or anywhere a Level 5 finish is required.ˆ

- Which hand tools are better: Stainless Steel or Blue Steel?
- This is a personal choice. The Stainless Steel has a small advantage as they do not rust therefore will not have to be replaced as frequently as the Blue Steel.ˆ

- Yes, Pro Plaster Products carries Pro Trim, an extensive range of locally made Render and Plasterboard PVC Angles to suit all applications. UV Stabilised, Corrosion Resistant, Custom Lengths, Designed for Industry.ˆ
- Are your render and plasterboard PVC Beads UV Stabilised?
- Yes, the entire render and plasterboard Pro Trim range is UV Stabilised and manufactured from 100% PVC non recycled product.ˆ
- What is the advantage of the Pro Trim Mud Lock Profile on an external bead versus the traditional nib?
- Pro Trim's mud lock provides extra locking of material into the corner and reduces the chance of forming hair line cracks by contraction of the rendered surface. It also provides a stronger finished angle.ˆ
- What is the difference between the 'triangle shaped' holes compared to the 'small round' holes on the Pro Trim?
- The 'triangle' holes are designed to allow more render material to pass through the bead creating a greater bond between surfaces. The 'small round' holes, found on our internal Pro Trim range suit the finer plaster compound.ˆ
- What is the width of mesh on the Pro Trim render mesh?

- What is the thickness of the Pro Trim render bead?
- Pro Trim has a wall thickness of 1.4mm which gives you a stronger, straighter, thicker bead to work with.ˆ

- Yes, there will be extra lead times required and minimum order quantities.ˆ
- What is the set angle for Pro Trim Sill Bead?
- The angle is an industry standard of 15 degrees.ˆ
- What are Pro Trim's fixing recommendations?
- Pro Trim should be fixed in accordance with the render manufacturers recommendations. Usually this entails fixing with the render compound or a cement based construction adhesive. You must ensure that the compound used fully covers the trim surface especially on reveal and sill trims.ˆ
- How do I seal between the trim and a window frame?
- Wipe the trim clean with a dry cloth and flash with acetone or cleaner, eg: Sikaflex Cleaner 205. Seal between surfaces with a sealant such as Sikaflex 521UV.ˆ
